Life…

9 10 2009

Well as usual it has been awhile since I last did a post.  Things here in Jacksonville, FL have been really busy lately.  We released our 2nd album here at the church this past August and have been pedal to the metal since.  We had a couple of dates that we played out as a band and they were fun and an experience as well. Church life is really really busy, it seems as if I dont know where the days go!

Well, Dad had his 8th surgery a few months back and it has been a really rough recovery for him.  He does not really want to eat, or do anything. He got an infection about 2 or 3 weeks ago that has set him back a little bit.  Basically this last surgery was to do a “internal skin graph” due to him having so many surgeries, he has no stomach muscles or ab muscles.  So he has been in some severe pain due to his body adapting to this inside of him.  It basically wraps from the top of his chest to the bottom of his stomach.  So please keep him in your prayers as he continues to recover.

We are back

22 07 2009

Well we made it back. The trip was incredible! The flights were really long and we are still trying to get back on our schedule. Australia is 14 hours ahead of us here on the East Coast. So coming back has been harder than going.
The Hillsong Conference was amazing. God’s presence was all over the place the whole week. God did some really cool things in our lives while we were there. We got all filled up and refreshed while we were there. It was great. If you ever have a chance to go to Hillsong, it is a must.
Here is the link for the pics we took while we were there. There is no captions, so good luck. It would take forever to put a caption on them cause there is like 435 pics. The pics are of our friends that went, the conference, hillsong church, the Sydney Oprea House and Sydney Harbor

It’s Summer Already?

4 06 2009

Well as you can probably tell, it has been a while since I last wrote. I can’t believe that summer is already here! We have been very busy here in JAX.  Our new CD is set to release on August 1st, 2009  So if you are in the Jacksonville,FL area come on out.  Karla just graduated from FSU (Florida State University) on May 2nd, so that was an awesome accomplishment. Gizmo is doing fine, just lays around and sleeps(must be nice).  Mom and Dad are actually coming in town tonight. They will be here for about a week. This will be dad’s first trip in like 1 1/2 years since his battle with Cancer.  Praise God he is doing much better and is almost back to normal.  He has his good days and his bad days, but at least he is still here!  Alight, I need to get back to work I will write again soon.

In Memphis

28 03 2009

We (Celebration Church Band) are in Memphis, TN at Life church. We left yesterday from JAX and got here around 9:00pm last night. It was a long day in a 15 passenger van to say the least. We slept in and are getting ready now about to head up to the church for some lunch! We will be here playing all 4 of Life Church’s weekend services. So if you are in Memphis, come on out.

It has been a long time…

11 03 2009

Well, I just realized that it has been forever since I last wrote a blog post… Life has been crazy busy around here. We are currently in the middle of recording our 2nd album here at Celebration Church.  We are very excited about releasing it in August 2009.  Myself along with Dougie (co-worker) have been producing a CD for “Patrick Bass” and it will be coming out in the next few months. So to say the least, I have been in the studio non-stop!  At least it is what I love to do.  I thank God everyday that He has given me a job that I love to wake to.  Services here at the church are crazier than ever. Due to our growth, we have added 2 more service options and 2 more campuses.  So on the weekends now I am currently playing at 1 Saturday service and 4 Sunday services. This is not including our 2 mid-week services. Life is great!  Karla and I are doing awesome as well.

Remembering Ron McClelland a dear friend – Story Side B

20 01 2009

I don’t really know where to begin with this one… One of my friends passed away yesterday while playing basketball. I received a phone call last night (Sunday Jan. 18th) saying that Ron had passed away. I Did not believe this at first and was in complete shock! He and his wife (Rebecca) were on a cruise with his work. Ron worked for 88.1 the Promise, a local Christian radio station here in Jacksonville,FL.    Ron was an amazing friend, husband, bass player, piano player, and much more!  He was playing basketball on the 2nd highest deck with some of the guys.  They played a hard game and took a break, then they started up a 2nd game.  While they were playing their 2nd game, Ron collapsed. They worked on him for 1 hr to bring him back, but God was ready for him to come home.  Ron is now in Heaven having a much better time than we are! Ron also was one of our keyboard/bass players at Celebration Church here in Jacksonville, FL  He was also the keyboard/bass player for a band by the name of Story Side B:   Ron my friend you will be greatly missed.  I love you and your family.  We will take care of them!

We will miss you!

We will miss you!
